Aer racing1/16/2024 ![]() ![]() Rebellion has yet to announce its driver lineups, although confirming it has lodged two full-season FIA WEC entry requests for the LMP1 class. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to work with such a well respected and successful racing team and we have already been impressed with the dedication and in-depth knowledge of the entire team,” added AER managing director Mike Lancaster. No word has been given on any potential testing prior to its targeted debut race at Spa. The team and its chassis partner ORECA are now in the process of developing a revised version of the Rebellion R-One to be fitted with AER’s powerplant. AER has revealed an updated version of its LMP1 engine, which will power SMP Racing’s pair of BR1 prototypes in the FIA World Endurance Championship next season.
